Make your Instagram account more attractive to clients
Hey! It's Yana Arkhipova. I want to share some simple but essential tips businesses can use to make their Instagram accounts more attractive to potential clients.
1. Use the "Name" field to give people a chance to find your profile!
It’s counterintuitive, but in most cases the name field should not be used to write the name of your company. Rather, this field should be used to add words that people who might be interested in your product might search for.
For example, imagine you have a medical center in Toronto, Canada. A good name might be something like "Medical Center Toronto". Yes, it's that simple!

Now, when people start typing one of those words in an Instagram search, your profile will appear in the list of accounts.
The maximum number of characters in this field is 30, so be brief.

2. Use "Bio" to quickly inform your audience what your profile is about and how it can be useful for them.
Instagram gives you 150 characters to hook potential clients. Make the most of that opportunity!
Break the information down into 3-4 key benefits or compelling bits of information about your product. Pick one emoji for each line that matches the meaning or emotion of the text. Use these emojis at the beginning of each line. For some businesses, contact information should also be included.

It would be best if you ended up with something like this:
3. Use highlights to create a mini version of your website.
Highlights can completely replace the function of your website for some customers. Use albums to structure key information about your company.
Dynamic content and frequent updates can help increase clients’ confidence in your business. Highlights are also a great tool for directly driving sales.

Let's take an example.
You have a restaurant in Phuket, Thailand. You have already taken steps 1 and 2, so now potential clients can easily find your profile and understand what it is (e.g., a French restaurant founded in 1995 with a happy hour promotion M-F 16:00 – 20:00).

That’s a good start, but a potential client might need more information before deciding to visit the restaurant. For example,
  • what are the terms of the "Happy Hour" promotion;
  • what’s on the menu and at what prices;
  • what other promotions is the restaurant offering now?
With highlights, the potential client can access that information with minimal effort. Circles at the top of your profile, each properly labeled, will provide the potential client with the desired information with a simple thumb tap.
Now, a potential customer has checked out the menu and promotions and is intrigued. The potential client can then click on the “Our Guests” album to see pictures of happy customers and testimonials about the restaurant.

If the person would like to book a table, he or she need only look up to the bio for the restaurant’s reservation number and dial...

While these examples were for a medical center and a restaurant, these tips apply to every type of business.
